You know how some people who use the word "haters" to describe people who simply don't like their artwork/writing, or their favorite show/pairing?

Yeah, that can be really stupid.

By saying that, you're basically saying that anybody who doesn't like your stuff couldn't POSSIBLY have a good reason for it. No, no, they're just stupid little "haters" who only don't like your stuff because they just don't like anything. Having been on the receiving end of this word in that context many times, I can tell you it's not in the least bit true.

If someone were to say that they hated my artwork, or my characters, I'd be "eh." That's their opinion, and they probably have a good reason for it. I'm not going to call them a "hater" and spend ages ranting about them and deluding myself that somehow I'm this amazing genius that NOBODY with any form of a rational mind can not like.

'Cause let me break something to you.

There's nobody that amazing. Someone is always going to dislike your work- and yes, maybe sometimes just because they don't like anything. But more often and not, they have a damn good reason for it. Think before you use the word in that context, folks. You'll sound a lot less stupid for it.

Also if you felt angry at me reading this journal, I suggest you pause and take a good, long look at WHY you're angry. <3

You know what?

I don't really like Thanksgiving. It's an exceedingly stupid holiday.

So what, what do we do on Thanksgiving anyways? I drive out with my mom and brother down to Nashville to eat a "dinner" with people I, quite frankly, either don't like, or have absolutely no interest in talking to. Not only that, but out of the whole Thanksgiving spread, there is a grand total of two things that I actually end up eating- turkey and dinner rolls. Because nobody has ever once bothered to ask me "HEY! you barely eat anything when you come here. Is there something else you would like!?" And if there's one thing I've learned about my family in the past, is that if I'm not asked, nobody gives a shit about my opinion. Desert is always some weird Indian thing that I end up not liking in the least, and the conversations are always uninteresting to me.

So you know what? Screw Thanksgiving. Not doing it anymore.

Today is Vocaloid Meiko's birthday! So, yay, happy (fifth?) birthday, Meiko!

You know, I think I'm just going to stop posting up inspiration journals here, as well as profiles and shit on ToT. 'Cause you know, not to sound like I'm throwing a pity party here, but I can count the number of times I've gotten feedback of ANY kind on anything on my hands. And that's... well, what's the point of that? It is incredibly frustrating to spend hours typing something up and then have it be completely ignored.

So I just kind of give up. There's no point in doing it if it's not getting me what I want- which is dialogue and people talking. I'm just really, really tired of it.

Seriously people, stop it with the whiny butthurt. I'm sorry that the rest of the world isn't just patting your ass and saying nice, sparkly things to you, but you want to know why? It's probably because you are not a special, sparkly, shiny little princess. If you ask for critique on your art, characters, whatever and whine and cry FOWL when you actually GET it, then nobody is really going to want to have anything to do with you anymore.

I am just SO TIRED of seeing people throwing hissy fits when they don't get instant adoration for their crappy, half-assed recolors that not only don't MAKE ANY SENSE, but are also frankly bland and boring as well. No, sorry princess, I'm not going to tell you I looooveee your senshi if she's some SUPER MEGA POWERFUL BEAUTIFUL little hogall, and I'm not going to gleespasm over a character that looks like a rainbow vomit version of Sailor Pluto. You butthurt people need to shape up, grow up, and realize that the people who are saying "ZOMGMEEEN" things to you are JUST TRYING TO HELP.

So, uh, yeah. I'm sure some of you guys who I'm talking about here will pop your heads in and AGREE WITH ME COMPLETELY, fully unwitting that, uh, yeah. I'm talking about you, Princess.
