Sailor Gray's positon amongst the Color senshi is as the guardian of Lost souls. It's her job to watch over the souls that can't go anywhere, either because their bodies have never been found or identified.

She's a solitary guardian and only leaves her post if something major is happening, so when she does in Color Guardians, it signals something it about to start...
